عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ ((نَزَلَ نَبِيٌّ مِنَ الْأَنْبِيَاءِ تَحْتَ شَجَرَةٍ فَلَدَغَتْهُ نَمْلَةٌ فَأَمَرَ بِجَهَازِهِ فَأُخْرِجَ مِنْ تَحْتِهَا ثُمَّ أَمَرَ بِهَا فَأُحْرِقَتْ بِالنَّارِ فَأَوْحَى اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ إِلَيْهِ فَهَلَّا نَمْلَةً وَاحِدَةً))
Syedna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Among the Prophets, one Prophet stopped under a tree, and an ant bit him. So he ordered the belongings to be moved and the ants underneath to be taken out and burned, and thus they were burned. Then Allah Almighty revealed to him: Why did you not burn only the (one) ant?
