Syedna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: A devil attacked me last night to interrupt my prayer, but Allah Almighty gave me power and I pushed him away. Then I intended to tie him to one of the pillars of the mosque so that you all could see him in the morning, but then I remembered the supplication of my brother Sulaiman (peace be upon him): "O my Lord! Grant me a kingdom such as shall not belong to anyone after me." So, I let him go, disappointed and unsuccessful.
