It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that someone asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him): "Which religion is most beloved to Allah Almighty?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: "The religion of Ibrahim (peace be upon him), which is the religion of ease."

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … In the language, a person is called "Hanif" who is upon the religion of Ibrahim (alayhis salam), and Ibrahim (alayhis salam) is called Hanif because he inclined from falsehood towards truth. The original meaning of "hanf" is to incline or to lean to one side.
The meaning of this hadith has been expressed in the Qur'an as follows: {وَمَاجَعَلَعَلَیْکُمْفِیْالدِّیْنِمِنْحَرَجٍمِّلَّۃَاَبِیْکُمْاِبْرَاہِیْمَ} … "And He has not placed upon you in the religion any hardship. Maintain the religion of your father Ibrahim (alayhis salam)." (Surah Al-Hajj: 78) That is, He has not given any command which the human soul cannot bear; otherwise, a little effort and hardship is required in every task. Rather, He has abrogated some of the severe rulings of previous laws, and in addition, He has granted many such eases to the Muslims which were not present in previous laws.
If one reflects upon all the pillars of Islam, its obligations and recommended acts, its prohibitions and disliked matters, then a person of sound nature and impartiality will conclude that the amount required in each field is precisely what could be decided by a wise and knowledgeable being. In this respect, no aspect of Islam can be challenged.
