Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Recitation was made easy for Dawud (peace be upon him); he would order for his mount to be saddled, and before this task was completed, he would finish the recitation of the Zabur, and he would eat only from what he earned with his own hands.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … From this blessed hadith, it is understood that Allah Ta’ala shortens time for some of His servants, meaning He grants them such special tawfiq (divine enablement) that they are able to perform great deeds in a short period. Those who consistently obey Allah Ta’ala feel this blessing; as for the Prophet, his rank is indeed unique.
Previously, this blessed hadith has been mentioned that Allah Ta’ala stopped the sun for the sake of the ‘Asr prayer of Yusha (alayhis salam); He does whatever He wills, and He is not answerable to anyone.
Reflect upon the incident of Mi’raj: Allah Ta’ala condensed time and space.
