It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When Pharaoh, at the time of drowning, said: I believe that there is no true deity except the One in whom the Children of Israel believe, Jibreel (peace be upon him) said to you (peace and blessings be upon him): O Muhammad! If only you had seen me at that time when I was taking the black mud of the sea and stuffing it into Pharaoh’s mouth, fearing that the mercy of Allah might reach him.
