It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The example of one who waits for the next prayer after performing a prayer is like that of a horseman whose horse carries him swiftly towards his enemy in the path of Allah. As long as this person waiting does not lose his ablution, the angels continue to pray for mercy upon him, while that person is in the state of the greatest ribat (spiritual vigilance).
