It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The nations were presented before me. I saw that with some prophets there was a group, with some a single individual, with some two individuals, and with some there was no one. Suddenly, a large multitude was shown to me. I said: Is this my Ummah? It was said: This is Musa (Moses), peace be upon him, and his people. Now look towards the horizon. There was a large multitude there as well. Then I was told: Now look this way. There too was a large multitude. Then I was told: This is your Ummah, and with them are seventy thousand people who will enter Paradise without reckoning or punishment. The Companions began to discuss among themselves, saying: Perhaps these are the people who remained with the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). Someone said: It seems these are those who were born in Islam and never associated partners with Allah Almighty. Other Companions mentioned further opinions. Meanwhile, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to them and said: What are you deliberating about? They informed him of their conversation. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Those who will enter Paradise without reckoning or punishment are those who neither get themselves cauterized, nor seek ruqyah (spiritual healing), nor take bad omens, and they put their trust only in their Lord. Sayyiduna Ukasha bin Mihsan Ash’ari (may Allah be pleased with him) stood up and said: O Messenger of Allah! Am I among them? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: You are among them. Then another man stood up and said: O Messenger of Allah! Am I also among them? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Ukasha has preceded you.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … The meaning of tawakkul is that, after utilizing permissible means and resources, one should strive to reach one’s objective, but the real reliance should be upon Allah’s Essence, because unless Allah’s will is involved, the means and resources themselves can accomplish nothing.
However, the highest form of tawakkul is that even the means are not utilized, and the matter is entrusted entirely to Allah, without any calculation or reckoning. The tawakkul of those who will enter Paradise without reckoning will be of this kind. Their view regarding wounds and illnesses will be that Allah is the One Who has caused these illnesses, and He alone will grant cure; they will not use medicine as an intermediary means. This type of tawakkul is difficult.
