It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them both, that when the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, passed by the valley of ‘Usfan during the journey of Hajj, he said: O Abu Bakr! Which valley is this? He said: This is the valley of ‘Usfan. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Hud, peace be upon him, and Salih, peace be upon him, passed by this valley. They were riding red camels, their reins were made of palm fibers, their lower garments were cloaks, their sheets were striped, and they were going to perform Hajj of this ancient House, proclaiming the Talbiyah.
