Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said: Indeed, the people of the Plain of Gathering will come to Nuh (peace be upon him) and say: O Nuh! You were the first messenger sent to the people of the earth, Allah Almighty called you a very grateful servant, so intercede for us with your Lord, do you not see the state we are in, do you not see the distress we are suffering? Nuh (peace be upon him) will say: Indeed, my Lord is so angry today that He has never been so angry before, nor will He ever be so angry after this. I had one supplication to make, but I have already used it against my people. Woe to myself, woe to myself, woe to myself. Go, you should go to someone else.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … This is a lengthy hadith, according to which the people present at the place of standing (Ahl al-Mawqif) will go to various messengers, so that they may intercede for the commencement of the reckoning. Ultimately, Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam), will intercede with Allah, the Exalted, for this.
