Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: On the Day of Resurrection, Nuh (peace be upon him) will be called and it will be said to him: Did you convey the message of Allah? He will say: Yes. Then his people will be called and it will be asked of them: Did Nuh (peace be upon him) convey the message to you? They will say: No warner came to us, or no such person came to us. Then it will be said to Nuh (peace be upon him): Who will testify on your behalf? He will say: Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) and his Ummah. This is the meaning of Allah Almighty’s statement: And thus We have made you a just community. The meaning of “just” is those who do justice. Then the Ummah of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) will be called, so they will bear witness that Nuh (peace be upon him) conveyed the message. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Then I will bear witness over you.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … The command of Allah, the Exalted, is: {وَکَذٰلِکَجَعَلْنٰکُمْاُمَّۃًوَّسَطًالِّتَکُوْنُوْاشُہَدَاءَعَلَیالنَّاسِوَیَکُـوْنَالرَّسُوْلُعَلَیْکُمْشَہِیْدًا } … And thus We have made you the best of nations, so that you may be witnesses over mankind and the Messenger may be a witness over you (Surah al-Baqarah: 143).
That is, you yourselves are a favored nation; you will bear witness over other nations on the Day of Resurrection, because all of them acknowledge your superiority. Here, the meaning of "wasatan" is "better" and "excellent," just as it is said that the Quraysh were the central (wasat) tribe of the Arabs in terms of lineage, and the Noble Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) was the central (wasat) one among his people, meaning the one with the noblest lineage.
The Ummah of the Noble Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam), by believing in his (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) words, will bear witness that indeed Nuh (alayhis salam) conveyed the message of Allah, the Exalted, to his people. Such is the case when there is faith and conviction.
