بَابُ ذِكْرُ نَبِيِّ اللَّهِ إِدْرِيسَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ وَقَوْلِ اللهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: «وَرَفَعْنَاهُ مَكَانًا عَلِيًّا»Chapter: Mention of the Prophet of Allah Idris, peace be upon him, and Allah Almighty's saying: "And We raised him to a high place"

عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ فِي حَدِيثِ الْإِسْرَاءِ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ ثُمَّ عُرِجَ بِنَا إِلَى السَّمَاءِ الرَّابِعَةِ فَاسْتَفْتَحَ جِبْرِيلُ فَقِيلَ مَنْ أَنْتَ قَالَ جِبْرِيلُ قِيلَ وَمَنْ مَعَكَ قَالَ مُحَمَّدٌ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقِيلَ وَقَدْ أُرْسِلَ إِلَيْهِ قَالَ قَدْ أُرْسِلَ إِلَيْهِ فَفُتِحَ الْبَابُ فَإِذَا أَنَا بِإِدْرِيسَ فَرَحَّبَ بِي وَدَعَا لِي بِخَيْرٍ ثُمَّ قَالَ يَقُولُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ {وَرَفَعْنَاهُ مَكَانًا عَلِيًّا} [سورة مريم: 57]
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik, may Allah be pleased with him, narrates the hadith of Isra and says: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Then we were taken up to the fourth heaven. When Jibril, peace be upon him, requested for the door to be opened, he was asked: Who are you? He said: I am Jibril. Then it was asked: Who is with you? He said: Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him. It was then said: Has he been sent for? He said: Yes, he has been called. So the door was opened. Suddenly, I saw Idris, peace be upon him. He greeted me with welcome and prayed for goodness and well-being for me. Then the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Allah Almighty says: {وَرَفَعْنَاہُ مَکَانًا عَلِیًّا} And We raised him to a high station.
Brief Explanation
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik radi Allahu anhu, while narrating the hadith of Isra, says: The Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said: Then we were taken up towards the fourth heaven. When Jibril alayhis salam requested for the door to be opened, it was asked of him: Who are you? He said: I am Jibril. Then it was asked: Who is with you? He said: Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. So it was said: Has a message been sent to him? He said: Yes, he has been called. Thus, the door was opened. Suddenly, I saw Idris alayhis salam. He greeted me with welcome and prayed for goodness and well-being for me. Then the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said: Allah the Exalted says: {وَرَفَعْنَاہُ مَکَانًا عَلِیًّا} “And We raised him to a high station.”
