Hadith 10298

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When Allah Almighty created Adam (peace be upon him), He left (his frame) as He wished for as long as He wished. Iblis began to walk around and observe him. When he saw that he had a belly or that he was hollow from within, he said: This is a creature who will not be able to control himself. That is, this being will not be able to restrain himself from desires, will not remain safe from whispers, nor will he be able to control his anger, except for the one whom Allah protects. How did Iblis realize this? There is no need to get into this discussion; it is not known what the attributes of that era and the abilities and experiences of the creatures of that time were.
