Hadith 10297

وَعَنْهُ أَيْضًا قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ كُلُّ ابْنِ آدَمَ تَأْكُلُهُ الْأَرْضُ إِلَّا عَجْبَ الذَّنَبِ فَإِنَّهُ مِنْهُ خُلِقَ وَمِنْهُ يُرَكَّبُ
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Everything of the son of Adam is consumed by the earth except for the coccyx (ajb al-dhanab); from it he was created and from it he will be reassembled.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … The complete bodies of some individuals also remain intact in the grave; in any case, the ‘ajb al-dhanab (coccyx) of every person remains, whether the rest of the body perishes or remains.
