عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِنَّ السَّنَةَ لَيْسَ بِأَنْ لَا يَكُونَ فِيهَا مَطَرٌ وَلَكِنَّ السَّنَةَ أَنْ تُمْطِرَنَا السَّمَاءُ وَلَا تُنْبِتَ الْأَرْضُ
Syedna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Indeed, drought is not that rain does not fall, rather drought is that the sky sends down rain but the earth does not produce anything.
