It is narrated from Sayyiduna Muawiyah Laithi (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When people are afflicted by famine and Allah Almighty sends down His sustenance (in the form of rain), they become polytheists. Someone asked: O Messenger of Allah! How is that? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: People say that it rained because of such-and-such star.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … Rain descends by the command and will of Allah Ta'ala; no one else's pleasure or displeasure has any involvement in it. Whoever attributes the descent of this rain to other than Allah will become a disbeliever (kafir).
