It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that people were on the way to Makkah Mukarramah, a wind began to blow, Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him, was going for Hajj, the wind became strong, Sayyiduna Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, asked the people around him: Who will tell us about the wind? The people did not give any answer, when I came to know of Sayyiduna Umar’s question, I hurried my mount until I reached him and said: O Commander of the Faithful! I have learned that you asked about the wind, I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say about it: The origin of the wind is from Allah Almighty, it comes with mercy and also with punishment, so when you see it, do not speak ill of it, rather ask Allah Almighty for its goodness and seek refuge from its evil.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … The wind is subject to the command of Allah Ta‘ala; within it there is both good and evil. A servant should not speak ill of something that is bound by the command of Allah Ta‘ala; rather, he should ask Allah for its good and seek refuge from its evil.
