It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) affirmed some of the verses of Umayyah. He had said in one verse: (Among the bearers of the Throne) some are in the form of a man, some in the form of an ox, under the right leg of Allah Almighty, some are in the form of a vulture, and some in the form of a lion lying in ambush. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Umayyah has spoken the truth. Once he said this verse: And at the end of every night the sun rises, at that time it is red and its color appears rosy, it refuses and does not rise gently, otherwise it would be punished and flogged. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: He has spoken the truth.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … The following narration regarding the bearers of the Throne is authentic:

Sayyiduna Jabir radi Allahu anhu reports that the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said: “I have been permitted to speak about an angel from among the angels of Allah Ta’ala, from the bearers of the Throne. The distance between his earlobe and his shoulder is a journey of seven hundred years.” (Abu Dawud: 4727)

These are manifestations of the power of Allah Ta’ala. If the distance between the earlobe and the shoulder of an angel is a journey of seven hundred years, then how immense must the rest of his body be. It is the Majestic Lord alone who is worthy of all praise, glorification, and commendation.
