It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: I heard that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever associates a partner with Allah, Allah will cast him into Hell. Then Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The second statement I am saying myself, I did not hear this from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): Whoever dies in such a state that he does not associate any partner with Allah, He will admit him into Paradise, and indeed these prayers become an expiation for the sins committed in between, as long as one avoids the destructive (i.e., major) sins.
