عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِثْلُهُ
Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) also narrated a similar hadith from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him).
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … People, in the heat of quarrels and disputes, forget these Prophetic (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) instructions and strike their opponent in whatever manner is easiest, even if it means slapping or punching the face. Doing so is an act of disobedience to the command of the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam).
