Hadith 10138

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ubayy bin Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Do not speak ill of the wind, for its origin is from Allah Almighty. So when you see something undesirable in the wind, recite this supplication: "O Allah! Indeed, we ask You for the goodness of this wind, the goodness within it, and the goodness with which it has been sent, and we seek refuge in You from the evil of this wind, the evil within it, and the evil with which it has been sent."

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … The wind blows by the command of Allah Ta'ala; the good found within it is also from Allah Ta'ala, and the Creator of the evil found within it is likewise Allah Ta'ala. Therefore, for any creation of Allah Ta'ala in which both elements of good and evil are present, one should ask Allah Ta'ala for its good and seek refuge with Him from its evil.
