It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both), he says: We were sitting with the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), my father Sayyiduna Amr bin Aas (may Allah be pleased with him) went to put on clothes so that he could meet me, we were still with you (peace and blessings be upon him) when you (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Surely, surely an accursed person is about to enter upon you. By Allah! I became fearful and started looking at those coming and going, until Hakam entered.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … This was Hakam bin Abi al-As. He was the uncle of Sayyiduna Uthman bin Affan radi Allahu anhu and the father of Marwan. He accepted Islam at the time of the Conquest of Makkah and then took up residence in Madinah Munawwarah, but the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam sent him towards Ta’if. He remained there until Sayyiduna Uthman radi Allahu anhu, during his caliphate, called him to Madinah, and there he passed away. Ibn Athir said in Usud al-Ghabah: There are numerous hadiths regarding the cursing of Hakam bin Abi al-As and his exile; there is no need to mention all of them. In any case, it is definite and certain that the Noble Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam did so due to some grave matter, even though he sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was forbearing and forgiving.
