Hadith 10071

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Musa Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said: Whoever loves his worldly life will harm his Hereafter, and whoever prefers his Hereafter will harm his worldly life. So give preference to that which is everlasting over that which is perishable.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … The eye of the heavens and the insight of every person of vision bear witness that due to worldly comforts, the continuity of acts of worship cannot remain unaffected; this is precisely why today the number of worshippers in mosques has greatly decreased, and even those who are otherwise regular in prayer do not attend the mosque for the Fajr prayer solely because of this reason.

If we look at the aforementioned hadith, we must say that the intent of the Noble Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was that by sleeping only a little, one is merely fulfilling the right of the body; by using such a soft and comfortable bedding, sleep will increase, laziness will grow, and inclination towards worldly comforts will intensify.
