A man from Banu Sulaym narrates from his grandfather that he brought silver to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and said: This is silver from one of our mines. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Soon there will be mines, but the worst people will be present at them.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … Shaykh al-Albani rahimahullah says: "Ma‘adin" (mines) refers to those places from which earthly minerals such as gold, silver, and copper are extracted; its singular is "ma‘din." There is no doubt that disbelievers are indeed the worst of people. The trial that Muslims are afflicted with due to bringing Europeans and Americans to the Arab lands for the extraction of earthly treasures is alluded to in this hadith. And Allah is the One whose help is sought. (Sahihah: 1885)
