Shaqiq says: Sayyiduna Abdur Rahman bin Awf (may Allah be pleased with him) went to Sayyida Umm Salama (may Allah be pleased with her) and said: O Mother of the Believers! I fear that I may be destroyed, because among the Quraysh, I possess the most wealth, and now I have sold a piece of land for forty thousand dinars. The lady said: O my son! Spend your wealth, for I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: Surely, some of my companions are such that when I part from them (at the time of death), they will not be able to join me later. So I, Abdur Rahman, went to Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) and narrated this hadith to him. He reached the lady and said: By Allah! Am I among them? She said: No, and after you, I will never declare anyone innocent.
