It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Bakrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man from the people of Persia came to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: My Lord has destroyed your lord. Someone said to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): He has appointed his daughter as his successor. Upon hearing this, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: That nation will never prosper whose ruler is a woman.

From this hadith, it is understood that a woman is not eligible for leadership or for being a judge (qada), rather, a woman cannot even contract her own marriage.
Respected readers! Both men and women are creations of Allah Ta'ala. Allah Ta'ala and His Messenger have explained the responsibilities of both, as well as their rights. And woman has been declared unique and free from worry in this regard, that all her expenses are the responsibility of the man. However, it has been observed that women have not been content with their rights and have tried to step outside their designated sphere.
