Abu Husayn Haytham bin Shufay narrates: He says, I and my companion named Abu Amir (from the city of Bayt al-Maqdis) Ilya set out to pray. My companion was from the place Ma‘afir in Yemen, his preacher was Azdi, he was called Abu Rayhanah and he was a Companion. Abu Husayn says: My companion reached the mosque before me, then when I reached the mosque, I sat beside him. He asked me: Have you heard the stories of Sayyiduna Abu Rayhanah (may Allah be pleased with him)? I said: No. He said: I have heard, he was saying that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade these ten things: filing the teeth, tattooing, plucking hair, a man lying with a man without clothes, likewise a woman lying with a woman without clothes, a man wearing his lower garment and draping his shoulders with (silk) like the non-Arabs, highway robbery, making saddles etc. from the skins of leopards and riding on them, and anyone other than a government official wearing a ring.
