Abu Hariz says: Sayyiduna Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) addressed the people in Homs and mentioned this as well: Indeed, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) declared seven things to be forbidden. I convey his message to you and also prohibit you from them: wailing, reciting poetry, making images, a woman adorning herself before someone other than her husband, the skins of predatory animals, gold, and silk.
