Hadith 10003

وَعَنْهُ أَيْضًا قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا يَسْرِقُ سَارِقٌ حِينَ يَسْرِقُ وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ وَلَا يَزْنِي زَانٍ حِينَ يَزْنِي وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ وَلَا يَشْرَبُ الشَّارِبُ حِينَ يَشْرَبُ وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ يَعْنِي الْخَمْرَ وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ وَلَا يَنْتَهِبُ أَحَدُكُمْ نُهْبَةً ذَاتَ شَرَفٍ يَرْفَعُ إِلَيْهَا الْمُؤْمِنُونَ أَعْيُنَهُمْ فِيهَا وَهُوَ حِينَ يَنْتَهِبُهَا مُؤْمِنٌ وَلَا يَغُلُّ أَحَدُكُمْ حِينَ يَغُلُّ وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ فَإِيَّاكُمْ إِيَّاكُمْ
Syedna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When a thief steals, he is not a believer; when an adulterer commits adultery, he is not a believer; when a drunkard drinks alcohol, he is not a believer; when a man commits a great act of plunder and the believers are looking at him, he is not a believer at that time; and when a betrayer betrays, he is not a believer. So avoid these matters, avoid these matters.
