بَابُ يَسْكُتُ إِذَا غَضِبَ
Remaining silent when angry
Hadith 1320
حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي طَاوُسٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: ”عَلِّمُوا وَيَسِّرُوا، عَلِّمُوا وَيَسِّرُوا“، ثَلاَثَ مَرَّاتٍ، ”وَإِذَا غَضِبْتَ فَاسْكُتْ“، مَرَّتَيْنِ.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Teach people the religion and make things easy, teach and deal with ease." Three times the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "And when you become angry, remain silent." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said this twice.
