بَابُ لَعِبِ الصِّبْيَانِ بِالْجَوْزِ
Children playing with walnuts
Hadith 1297
حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ مُغِيرَةَ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ: كَانَ أَصْحَابُنَا يُرَخِّصُونَ لَنَا فِي اللُّعَبِ كُلِّهَا، غَيْرِ الْكِلاَبِ. قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ: يَعْنِي لِلصِّبْيَانِ.
It is narrated from Ibrahim al-Nakha'i (may Allah have mercy on him) that he said: Our companions permitted us every kind of play except with dogs. Abu Abdullah Imam Bukhari (may Allah have mercy on him) said: That is, for children.
Hadith 1298
حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي شَيْخٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْخَيْرِ يُكَنَّى أَبَا عُقْبَةَ قَالَ: مَرَرْتُ مَعَ ابْنِ عُمَرَ مَرَّةً بِالطَّرِيقِ، فَمَرَّ بِغِلْمَةٍ مِنَ الْحَبَشِ، فَرَآهُمْ يَلْعَبُونَ، فَأَخْرَجَ دِرْهَمَيْنِ فَأَعْطَاهُمْ.
It is narrated from Abdul Aziz (may Allah have mercy on him) that a righteous and pious elder, who was called Abu Uqbah, told me that once I was passing along a road with Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them). As they passed by some Abyssinian children who were playing, he took out two dirhams and gave them to them.
Hadith 1299
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يُسَرِّبُ إِلَيَّ صَوَاحِبِي يَلْعَبْنَ بِاللَّعِبِ، الْبَنَاتِ الصِّغَارِ.
It is narrated from Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to send my friends to me, who would play with dolls with me.
