It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him), he said: O Messenger of Allah! Sometimes we find such thoughts in our hearts that we would never be willing to utter them, even if we were given all the wealth on the face of the earth. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Have you found such a thing in your hearts?" They replied: Yes! The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "This is clear and pure faith."

It is narrated from Shahr bin Hawshab (may Allah have mercy on him) that I and my maternal uncle went to Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) and said: Thoughts come to the chest of one of us such that if he were to utter them, his Hereafter would be ruined, and if they were to become known, he would be killed. He says that upon hearing this, she said «اللہ اکبر» three times and said: This was asked of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and he (peace be upon him) said: "When such a situation arises for any of you, let him say Allahu Akbar three times. Indeed, no one feels this except a believer."
