بَابُ اللَّهْوِ فِي الْخِتَانِ
Chapter: Playing at circumcision
Hadith 1247
حَدَّثَنَا أَصْبَغُ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ وَهْبٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرٌو، أَنَّ بُكَيْرًا حَدَّثَهُ، أَنَّ أُمَّ عَلْقَمَةَ أَخْبَرَتْهُ، أَنَّ بَنَاتَ أَخِي عَائِشَةَ اخْتُتِنَّ، فَقِيلَ لِعَائِشَةَ: أَلاَ نَدْعُو لَهُنَّ مَنْ يُلْهِيهِنَّ؟ قَالَتْ: بَلَى. فَأَرْسَلْتُ إِلَى عَدِيٍّ فَأَتَاهُنَّ، فَمَرَّتْ عَائِشَةُ فِي الْبَيْتِ فَرَأَتْهُ يَتَغَنَّى وَيُحَرِّكُ رَأْسَهُ طَرَبًا، وَكَانَ ذَا شَعْرٍ كَثِيرٍ، فَقَالَتْ: أُفٍّ، شَيْطَانٌ، أَخْرِجُوهُ، أَخْرِجُوهُ.
It is narrated from Umm ‘Alqamah (may Allah have mercy on her) that the nieces of Sayyidah ‘A’ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) had their circumcision performed, so it was suggested to Sayyidah ‘A’ishah (may Allah be pleased with her): Should we not call someone to entertain them? She said: That is fine. So she sent a message to ‘Adi, and he came. When Sayyidah ‘A’ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) passed through the house, she saw that he was singing and swaying. He was very hairy. Sayyidah ‘A’ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: Uff! Remove this devil, remove him.
