بَابُ الدَّعْوَةِ فِي الْخِتَانِ
Chapter: Invitation to circumcision
Hadith 1246
حَدَّثَنَا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ يَحْيَى، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ حَمْزَةَ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي سَالِمٌ قَالَ: خَتَنَنِي ابْنُ عُمَرَ أَنَا وَنُعَيْمًا، فَذَبَحَ عَلَيْنَا كَبْشًا، فَلَقَدْ رَأَيْتُنَا وَإِنَّا لَنَجْذَلُ بِهِ عَلَى الصِّبْيَانِ أَنْ ذَبَحَ عَنَّا كَبْشًا.
It is narrated from Salim (may Allah have mercy on him) that Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) performed circumcision on me and Naeem, and on our behalf, a ram was slaughtered. Thus, we used to boast to the other children that a ram had been slaughtered on our behalf.
