بَابُ إِذَا الْتَفَتَ الْتَفَتَ جَمِيعًا
Chapter: If one turns, turn completely
Hadith 1155
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ الْعَلاَءِ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ سَالِمٍ، عَنِ الزُّبَيْدِيِّ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَصِفُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: كَانَ رَبْعَةً، وَهُوَ إِلَى الطُّوَلِ أَقْرَبُ، شَدِيدُ الْبَيَاضِ، أَسْوَدُ شَعْرِ اللِّحْيَةِ، حَسَنُ الثَّغْرِ، أَهْدَبُ أَشْفَارِ الْعَيْنَيْنِ، بَعِيدُ مَا بَيْنَ الْمَنْكِبَيْنِ، مُفَاضُ الْجَبِينِ، يَطَأُ بِقَدَمِهِ جَمِيعًا، لَيْسَ لَهَا أَخْمُصُ، يُقْبِلُ جَمِيعًا، وَيُدْبِرُ جَمِيعًا، لَمْ أَرَ مِثْلَهُ قَبْلُ وَلا بَعْدُ.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that he described the appearance of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, saying: The blessed stature of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, was of medium height but slightly tall. His complexion was extremely fair, the hair of his beard was very black, his teeth were extremely beautiful, and his eyelashes were long. There was a gap between his two shoulders. The cheeks of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, were even. He walked with his entire foot firmly placed, there was no depth in his soles. When he turned towards something, he would turn completely, and when he turned his face, he would turn fully in that direction. I have not seen anyone like the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, before or after him.
