It is narrated from Munqidh bin Qais (may Allah have mercy on him) that Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) would often sit facing the Qiblah. So, when Yazid bin Abdullah bin Qasit recited Surah As-Sajdah after sunrise, he performed a prostration, and they (the people) also performed a prostration, except for Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both). Then, when the sun had fully risen, he unfolded his cloak, then performed a prostration and said: "Did you see your companions' prostration? They performed prostration at a time when it was not the time for prayer."
