كتاب الاستئذانBook of Asking Permission
بَابُ ﴿لِيَسْتَأْذِنْكُمُ الَّذِينَ مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَانُكُمْ﴾ [النور: 58]
Chapter: "Let those whom your right hands possess ask permission..."
Hadith 1057
حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ الْيَمَانِ، عَنْ شَيْبَانَ، عَنْ لَيْثٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ: ﴿لِيَسْتَأْذِنْكُمُ الَّذِينَ مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَانُكُمْ﴾ [النور: 58]، قَالَ: هِيَ لِلرِّجَالِ دُونَ النِّسَاءِ.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both), he said: The command of Allah, the Exalted: "Slaves should seek permission before entering." This command is for men, not for women.
