بَابُ مَرْحَبًا
Chapter: Saying "Marhaban" (Welcome)
Hadith 1030
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا زَكَرِيَّا، عَنْ فِرَاسٍ، عَنْ عَامِرٍ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْ: أَقْبَلَتْ فَاطِمَةُ تَمْشِي كَأَنَّ مِشْيَتَهَا مَشْيُ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ: ”مَرْحَبًا بِابْنَتِي“، ثُمَّ أَجْلَسَهَا عَنْ يَمِينِهِ، أَوْ عَنْ شِمَالِهِ.
It is narrated from Sayyida Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her), she said: Sayyida Fatima (may Allah be pleased with her) came, and her manner of walking was just like the manner of walking of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Welcome, my daughter." Then he seated her on his right or his left side.
Hadith 1031
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ هَانِئِ بْنِ هَانِئٍ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: اسْتَأْذَنَ عَمَّارٌ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَعَرَفَ صَوْتَهُ، فَقَالَ: ”مَرْحَبًا بِالطَّيِّبِ الْمُطَيَّبِ.“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) sought permission to come to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), recognizing his voice, said: "Welcome to the good and excellent person."
