بَابُ إِفْشَاءِ السَّلامِ
Chapter: Spreading Salam
Hadith 979
حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ، عَنْ قِنَانَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ النَّهْمِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْسَجَةَ، عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: ”أَفْشُوا السَّلامَ تَسْلَمُوا.“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Bara’ (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Spread salam widely, you will remain safe.”
Hadith 980
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي حَازِمٍ، وَالْقَعْنَبِيُّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، عَنِ الْعَلاَءِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: ”لَا تَدْخُلُوا الْجَنَّةَ حَتَّى تُؤْمِنُوا، وَلاَ تُؤْمِنُوا حَتَّى تَحَابُّوا، أَلاَ أَدُلُّكُمْ عَلَى مَا تَحَابُّونَ بِهِ؟“ قَالُوا: بَلَى، يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، قَالَ: ”أَفْشُوا السَّلامَ بَيْنَكُمْ.“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "You will not enter Paradise until you have faith, and you will not have faith until you love one another. Shall I tell you something which, if you do it, you will love one another?" They said: "O Messenger of Allah! Yes, indeed." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Spread salam (greetings of peace) among yourselves."
Hadith 981
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلاَمٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فُضَيْلِ بْنِ غَزْوَانَ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: ”اعْبُدُوا الرَّحْمَنَ، وَأَطْعِمُوا الطَّعَامَ، وَأَفْشُوا السَّلاَمَ، تَدْخُلُوا الْجِنَانَ.“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Worship the Most Merciful, feed (others), spread the greeting of peace, you will enter the gardens (of Paradise)."
