Saeed bin Musayyib (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates from his grandfather Huzn bin Wahb (may Allah be pleased with him) that he presented himself before the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), so the Prophet (peace be upon him) asked: "What is your name?" He said: Huzn. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Your name is Sahl." He said: I will not change the name that my father has given me. Saeed bin Musayyib (may Allah have mercy on him) said: After that, sadness has always remained among us.
Saeed bin Musayyib (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that his grandfather came to the Prophet (peace be upon him), so the Prophet (peace be upon him) asked: "What is your name?" He said: My name is Huzn. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Rather, from today your name is Sahl." He said: I am not one to change the name that my father has given me. Ibn Musayyib (may Allah have mercy on him) says: Then this sadness has continued among us.
