It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that when Sayyiduna Hasan (may Allah be pleased with him) was born, I named him Harb. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came and said: "Show me my son, what have you named him?" We said: Harb. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Rather, he is Hasan." Then when Sayyiduna Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) was born, I named him Harb. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came and said: "Show me my son, what have you named him?" We said: We have named him Harb. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Rather, his name is Husayn." When the third son was born, I named him Harb. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came and said: "Show me my son, what have you named him?" We said: Harb. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "No, his name is Muhsin." Then he said: "I have named them after the sons of Harun (peace be upon him).
