بَابُ قَوْلِ الرَّجُلِ: فِدَاكَ أَبِي وَأُمِّي
Chapter: Saying "May My Father and Mother Be Sacrificed for You"
Hadith 804
حَدَّثَنَا قَبِيصَةُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ شَدَّادٍ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عَلِيًّا رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ يَقُولُ: مَا رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُفَدِّي رَجُلاً بَعْدَ سَعْدٍ، سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ: ”ارْمِ، فِدَاكَ أَبِي وَأُمِّي.“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: I did not see the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) dedicate his parents to anyone after Sayyiduna Sa’d (may Allah be pleased with him). I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: “Shoot the arrow, may my parents be sacrificed for you.”
Hadith 805
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ بُرَيْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ: خَرَجَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ وَأَبُو مُوسَى يَقْرَأُ، فَقَالَ: ”مَنْ هَذَا؟“ فَقُلْتُ: أَنَا بُرَيْدَةُ جُعِلْتُ فِدَاكَ، قَالَ: ”قَدْ أُعْطِيَ هَذَا مِزْمَارًا مِنْ مَزَامِيرِ آلِ دَاوُدَ.“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Buraidah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) went towards the mosque while Sayyiduna Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) was reciting there. The Prophet (peace be upon him) asked: "Who is it?" I replied: "May I be sacrificed for you, it is Buraidah." The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "He has been given a portion of the melodious voice of the family of Dawud."
