It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him), he said: When any one of you asks someone for his need, he should not exaggerate, because he will only get what is destined for him. None of you should go to his companion and praise him excessively, for in this way he will break his back.

Narrated from Sayyiduna Abu ‘Azza Yasar bin ‘Abdullah Hudhali (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “When Allah Almighty intends for a servant to die in a certain land, He creates a need for him there.”
