بَابُ لَا يُحِدُّ الرَّجُلُ إِلَى أَخِيهِ النَّظَرَ إِذَا وَلَّى
Chapter: Do Not Stare at Your Brother When He Turns Away
Hadith 771
حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ لَيْثٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ قَالَ: يُكْرَهُ أَنْ يُحِدَّ الرَّجُلُ إِلَى أَخِيهِ النَّظَرَ، أَوْ يُتْبِعَهُ بَصَرَهُ إِذَا وَلَّى، أَوْ يَسْأَلَهُ: مِنْ أَيْنَ جِئْتَ، وَأَيْنَ تَذْهَبُ؟.
It is narrated from Mujahid (may Allah have mercy on him), he said: It is disliked for a person to look at his brother with sharp eyes, or to stare at him when he is leaving. Similarly, it is also disliked to inquire in detail: "Where have you come from and where are you going?"
