بَابُ قَوْسُ قُزَحٍ
Chapter: The Rainbow
Hadith 765
حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي يُوسُفُ بْنُ مِهْرَانَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: الْمَجَرَّةُ: بَابٌ مِنْ أَبْوَابِ السَّمَاءِ، وَأَمَّا قَوْسُ قُزَحٍ: فَأَمَانٌ مِنَ الْغَرَقِ بَعْدَ قَوْمِ نُوحٍ عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) that he said: Mujrah is one of the gates of the heavens, and the rainbow is a sign of safety from drowning after the people of Noah.
