It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him), he said: When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) distributed the spoils of Hunayn at the place of Ji'ranah, people crowded around him. Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Indeed, Allah sent a servant of His to a people, and they denied him and wounded him." He was wiping the blood from his forehead and saying: "O Allah, forgive my people, for they do not know." Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: It is as if I am still seeing the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) as he was narrating this, wiping his blessed hand over his forehead.
