بَابُ الدُّعَاءِ إِذَا بَقِيَ ثُلُثُ اللَّيْلِ
Chapter: Supplication in the Last Third of the Night
Hadith 753
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي مَالِكٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ الأَغَرِّ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: ”يَنْزِلُ رَبُّنَا تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى فِي كُلِّ لَيْلَةٍ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ الدُّنْيَا، حِينَ يَبْقَى ثُلُثُ اللَّيْلِ الْآخَرُ، فَيَقُولُ: مَنْ يَدْعُونِي فَأَسْتَجِيبَ لَهُ؟ مَنْ يَسْأَلُنِي فَأُعْطِيَهُ؟ مَنْ يَسْتَغْفِرُنِي فَأَغْفِرَ لَهُ ؟“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Our Lord, Blessed and Exalted, descends to the lowest heaven after two-thirds of the night have passed and announces: ‘Who is there who will supplicate to Me so that I may answer his supplication? Who is there who will ask of Me so that I may give to him? And who is there who will seek forgiveness from Me so that I may forgive him?’”
