It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas’ud (may Allah be pleased with him), he said: When any of you is subjected to someone whose oppression and arrogance he fears, he should recite this supplication: “O Allah! Lord of the seven heavens and Lord of the Mighty Throne! Protect me from so-and-so son of so-and-so and his group, who are among Your creation, lest any of them should wrong me or act arrogantly towards me. The one who seeks Your protection is honored, Your praise is very exalted, and there is no deity except You.”

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) that he said: When you go to a king whom people fear, and you are afraid that he may oppress you, then recite this supplication: "Allah is the Greatest. Allah is mightier than all creation. Allah is even mightier and more powerful than the one whom I fear and dread. I seek refuge with the One besides whom there is no deity, Who holds back the seven heavens from falling upon the earth except by His permission (and if He wills, they will fall), from the evil of Your such-and-such servant, his group, his companions, and his parties, whether they are from among the jinn or mankind. O Allah! Make me a means of protection against their evil. Great is Your praise, and whoever seeks refuge with You is honored, and Your blessed Name is very blessed, and there is no deity except You." Recite this supplication three times.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) that he said: Whoever is afflicted with any distress, grief, or anxiety, or fears the oppression of a king, should supplicate with these words, and the supplication will surely be accepted: "I ask You by the means of «لا إله إلا أنت», who is the Lord of the seven heavens and the Lord of the Mighty Throne. And I ask You by the means of «لا إله إلا أنت», who is the Lord of the seven heavens and the Lord of the Noble Throne. And I ask You by the means of «لا إله إلا أنت», who is the Lord of the seven heavens and the seven earths and whatever is in them. Indeed, You have power over all things." Then he should ask Allah Almighty for his need.
