Chapter: What the Sick Person Replies
Hadith 528
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : دَخَلَ الْحَجَّاجُ عَلَى ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، وَأَنَا عِنْدَهُ ، فَقَالَ : كَيْفَ هُوَ ؟ قَالَ : صَالِحٌ ، قَالَ : مَنْ أَصَابَكَ ؟ قَالَ : أَصَابَنِي مَنْ أَمَرَ بِحَمْلِ السِّلاحِ فِي يَوْمٍ لا يَحِلُّ فِيهِ حَمْلُهُ ، يَعْنِي : الْحَجَّاجَ .
It is narrated from Sa'id bin Amr (may Allah have mercy on him) that Hajjaj bin Yusuf came to the service of Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both), and I was also present there. He asked: How are you? Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) replied: I am fine. Hajjaj said: Who wounded you? He replied: I was wounded by the one who ordered the carrying of weapons on the day when carrying weapons was not permissible, that is, Hajjaj himself.
