Narrated from Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), she said: When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) arrived in Madinah, Sayyiduna Abu Bakr and Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with them both) developed a fever. She says: I went to nurse them, so I said: O my father! How are you? And O Bilal! How are you? Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) says that when Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) would have a fever, he would say: Every person is told among his family, "May your morning be well," while death is closer to him than the strap of his sandal. And when Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) would recover, he would say loudly: If only I knew, will I ever spend a night in a valley where around me will be the grasses called Idhkhir and Jalil, and will I ever come to the waters of Juhfah, and will I ever see the mountains of Shamah and Tufail? Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) says: I came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and informed him, so the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: «اللَّهُمَّحَبِّبْإِلَيْنَاالْمَدِينَةَكَمَاحَبَّبْتَإِلَيْنَامَكَّةَأَوْأَشَدَّ،وَصَحِّحْهَا،وَبَارِكْلَنَافِيصَاعِهَاوَمُدِّهَا،وَانْقُلْحُمَّاهَاإِلَىالْجُحْفَةِ» "O Allah! Make Madinah beloved to us just as You made Makkah beloved to us, or even more so. Make its climate healthy for us, and bless us in its Sa’ and its Mudd, and transfer its fever from here to Juhfah."

Hadith Takhrij«صحيح : أخرجه البخاري ، كتاب فضائل المدينة : 889 ، 5677 و مسلم : 1376»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) went to visit a Bedouin who was ill, and whenever the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) visited a sick person, he would recite this supplication: «لا بأس طهور إن شاء الله» "No harm, it is a purification, if Allah wills." The Bedouin said: Is it a purification? Never! It is a fever that has attacked an old man to drive him to the graveyard. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Then it shall be as you say."
It is narrated from Nafi' (may Allah have mercy on him) that whenever Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) visited a sick person, he would ask: How is he? And when he would leave from there, he would say: May Allah grant you goodness. He would not say anything more than this.
