بَابُ عِيَادَةِ الْمُشْرِكِ
Chapter: Visiting a Polytheist
Hadith 524
حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، أَنَّ غُلامًا مِنَ الْيَهُودِ كَانَ يَخْدُمُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَمَرِضَ ، فَأَتَاهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَعُودُهُ ، فَقَعَدَ عِنْدَ رَأْسِهِ ، فَقَالَ : ”أَسْلِمْ“، فَنَظَرَ إِلَى أَبِيهِ ، وَهُوَ عِنْدَ رَأْسِهِ ، فَقَالَ لَهُ : أَطِعْ أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَأَسْلَمَ ، فَخَرَجَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَهُوَ يَقُولُ : ”الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَنْقَذَهُ مِنَ النَّارِ.“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that a Jewish boy used to serve the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). He fell ill, so the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) went to visit him and sat by his head and said: "Accept Islam." Hearing this, the boy looked towards his father who was standing by his head, so he said: "Obey Abul Qasim (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)." Thus, the boy became Muslim. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came out from his place and was saying: "All praise is for Allah who saved him from the Fire."
